Uit Duitsland 4 jonge mensen die hun strepen nu al hebben verdiend in het maken van garage punk. Gezien er zoveel kenners zijn op dat gebied geef ik alleen prijs dat drummer Nico een van de drie was bij het Duitse equivalent van the Gories genaamd T.V Cheat! Afijn ze kwamen elkaar tegen in Cologne en na een paar oefensessies waren daar the Brain Traps. Een jaartje bij elkaar, wat shows en het geluk dat ik meer dan present was bij een daarvan en zag dat het garage van de bovenste plank is. Op bandcamp zijn er 4 nummers te vinden die klinken als de perfecte kruising tussen Low Point Drains en Traumahelikopter en ach ze zullen vast ook naar Ty, Mikal en thee Oh-Sees hebben geluisterd. En als de mensen het leuk vinden zal daar ook die avond een speciaal programma boekje gratis te verkrijgen zijn waarin meer valt te lezen over deze Brain Traps genaamd City Trash. not even sure if I'll be attending and still two weeks away but since shit
has been so quiet on everbodies favourite blog here it is:
WINTERSLEAZE! at Club Lite in Amsterdam saturday February 9th!!

main reason as you could have guessed looking at the poster: White Mystery!

Traumahelikopter always play way past my bedtime and my bed will probably
be my car so close and in spirit!

did you hear about that ONE party in Groningen this saturday?!?! Crowbar!!!

lots of everything thing this week, all sort of bands and festivals..
and in the large pool of shit there are a few bands that will be playing
local bars/ recordstores that are worthy of my presence, bands I like!
at least two shows from Earth Control, on thursday at O'callaighs curious how that will mix, the Irish and primitve electro beats...on friday they play somewhere can't really narrow it down to the exact spot but it's in the Oosterstraat, no not Vera and no Elpee.

ofcourse we don't party without the Sensational Second Cousins as things look now we won't be at any party without them playing...
and taking a day off to stand in a sweaty shitty recordstore, they do exist, to see the band who was featured in the last issue of City Trash Mozes and the Firstborn! All of this in Groningen ofcourse.

It all leads into my next post!!!

on that same night of celebrating we also can start mourning the loss of a great punkrock band, local heroes, LOUD SQUIRT who will be playing their last show, after the live festivities upstairs end, at the Vera downstage! it pretty much got started with this!

after that the party continues upstairs with the next big thing: DJ's!
